The Power of the Shake: Releasing Tension After a Long Week
Using neurogenic shaking to release stored stress and tension.
🛋️ Why Animals “Shake it Off”
You may have noticed how animals shake after a stressful moment. This is their way of releasing stored energy from the body.
At Interocare, we work with similar principles—supporting the body in letting go of the “bracing” that can build up over time, especially during periods of stress or burnout.
⚡ The 60-Second Release
• The Hand Shake: Gently shake your hands and wrists for 20 seconds to release built-up tension.
• The Whole Body “Bounce”: Stand and softly bounce into your heels, allowing your shoulders to stay loose.
• The Deep Exhale: As you finish, make a soft “shhh” or “vooo” sound. This can support a full-body exhale and encourage your system to settle.
✨ The Interocare Approach
Releasing stress doesn’t always require long or complex practices. Sometimes, a short moment of intentional movement is enough to begin shifting your state. If this feels familiar, your system may be asking for something different.
