Why Your Body Needs to Move to Heal: Somatic Therapy for Stress & Burnout

Introducing somatic tools as a practical way to manage mental health.

🧠 More Than Just "Thinking"
We’ve all heard that "awareness" is the first step to mental health. But at Interocare, we know that knowing why you feel anxious doesn't always stop the anxiety. To truly shift your state, you need to involve your body.

Therapy isn’t just about talk; it’s about learning the physical language of your nervous system and using movement to support regulation, especially during stress or burnout.

⚡ The "Motion" Shift
When you feel stuck in a loop of stress or burnout, your body is often in a state of "bracing." Try these 2-minute movement resets:

  • Change Your View: Physically stand up and look out a different window. This simple shift in perspective tells your brain that you aren't "trapped."

  • The Weight Shift: Stand with your feet hip-width apart and slowly shift your weight from left to right. This helps ground your system when your mind is racing.

  • Exhale with Movement: As you breathe out, drop your shoulders and let your arms hang heavy. This is a physical "signal" of safety to your system.

✨ The Interocare Approach
At Interocare, we bridge the gap between your thoughts and your physical experience. By adding small, intentional movements to your day, you build a more resilient foundation for your mental health.
